List of Marine Biology Books PDF: The earth is made up of five great oceans; the Pacific, Indian, Atlantic, Arctic, and Southern. All of them are linked together and are known as the World Ocean. All these oceans surround the islands and continents and cover 70% of the Earth’s surface. These large bodies of water are always in motion and pull the gravity from the Sun and Moon creating tides and ocean currents. These currents shape the planet’s climate and weather by moving the warm water from the colds and tropics from the poles. Not only the water, but they also live within it from tiny plankton to giant jellyfish.

The ocean seems like one big mass of water but beneath the waves of the ocean, there are big mountains, wide plateaux, and deep trenches. The ocean has a wide community of living things that interact with each other and their surrounding environment. It is estimated that 80% of life is found under the ocean surface.

Marine biology is the branch of biology that studies a variety of disciplines such as astronomy, biological oceanography, cellular biology,  physical oceanography, chemistry, ecology, geology, meteorology, molecular biology, and zoology and the new science of marine conservation biology draws on many longstanding scientific disciplines such as marine ecology, zoology, botany, genetics, fisheries biology, anthropology, economics, and law.

When someone is asked about the animals who live in the ocean, they probably think of whales, dolphins, sharks, and fishes. But the ocean has giant groups of organisms like plankton, seaweed, and critters like shrimp.

Marine biology studies living matter in the ocean, from the floating algae particles up the food chain to the great blue whale.

Here on this page, we’ve decided to bring you the collection of marine biology books pdf as we all know that the earth’s surface is covered with 70% of water and up to 80% of all living things on Earth, live in the ocean. We also rely on the ocean for transportation, food, and climate regulation. So, it is important to know more about the oceans and how life runs under the water.

The work of the Marine Biologist is to investigate the behavior and physiological processes of marine species, and the diseases and environmental conditions that affect them. They also look at the impacts caused by human activities on marine life.

They also work to observe, protect, or manage marine organisms or animals, microbes and plants. Some marine biologists also study fish populations and test for bioactive drugs, and then write scientific reports from their findings and get them published to educate others.

Discover more about this topic by reading our selected list of pdf eBooks given down below. If you are someone who loves spending time in the ocean and are interested in the life underneath the ocean, then these books are for you!
