Bioenergetics Books: Bioenergetics is the branch of biochemistry that studies the cell transformation energy that often produces, stores, or consumes adenosine triphosphate or ATP. This field’s main concern is energy flows through living systems. It is a process of cellular respiration or photosynthesis, which are essential to most aspects of cellular metabolism, therefore to life itself. All living matter, from the conventional basic unit of life like the cell to a higher-order integrated manifestation of cells, an organism, which exists as an open dynamical system requiring capabilities for extracting energy from respective interstitial, ambient environments or host, that convert that same energy to biologically useful forms, and for employing biologically useful energy to drive energetically expensive life processes.
For example, when someone wakes up in the morning and has a good energy to do a lot of work, this means his or her body is awake and has the energy to work. Similarly, if that individual has no energy due to lack of sleep or some other reason, then they might not feel like getting out of bed or moving around.
Energy in simple words is the ability to do work. There are different forms of energy like light, heat, and electrical energy. The meaning of the word bioenergetics is, Bio means life or living, and energetics means the study of energy.

The energy is transformed in photosynthesis and cellular respiration. Cellular respiration occurs in all living things. Cellular respiration occurs in the cytoplasm and primarily in the mitochondria, in the eukaryotes.
Its main purpose is to take a sugar molecule like glucose or a simple sugar and break it apart to release energy in the form of ATP. ATP molecules release energy instantly when the cells are needed.
Photosynthesis is the process that occurs in most plants, and even in some bacteria. In the process of photosynthesis, light which is a form of energy, carbon dioxide, and water are transformed into glucose. This same glucose gets broken down into cellular respiration.
