In general archaeologists think that they may be linked to rituals to attract fertility, ward off danger, good hunting, or simply give symbolic language to feelings ideas, or everyday life.

The process of painting involves applying paint, or any other medium on a solid surface, typically a canvas. A paintbrush is commonly used to apply paint or other forms of colors.

Some artists do use different tools like spray paints, sponges, even knives. An artist can be a creator of an object or paint as action. They capture ideas and emotions on a two-dimensional surface.
